Srinagar, May 7: All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) has expressed deep concern over the casualties suffered in the ongoing firing in the border areas of the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The Committee has asked for the de-escalation so that there is no more killing of civilians in the ongoing skirmishes.

In a statement APSCC Chairman Jagmohan Singh Raina has said minorities in the border areas especially Poonch district have suffered fatal casualties while many including children have been injured.

"Four civilians identified as Amrik Singh, Ranjit Singh, Amarjeet Singh and Balwinder Kour have been killed in the Poonch district. In addition many others have sustained injuries in the shelling from across the border. A Gurdwara has also suffered extensive damages after it was hit by a mortar shell," said APSCC Chairman. A village named Triboni in Kupwara district has also been affected.
