APS Damana holds camps
Jammu, Dec 5: To nurture young minds and inculcate values of teamwork, discipline and leadership, Army Public School Damana organised three days Pravesh camp and Dwitiya Sopan camp for Scouts and Guides of the school.
“The camp was an exciting and enriching experience designed to provide holistic development beyond academics. Under the supervision of Principal Pushpinder Kaur and Vice Principal Shallu Kapoor, along with resource persons STC RP Kotwal, Joint STC (Guides) Manjeet Kour, Scouts Master Neeraj Sharma and Scouts Master Madan Lal Sharma,” an army spokesperson said.
The programme provided a structured and enriching experience. “Various activities aligned with the APRO 2 and 3-syllabus were conducted, enhancing participants' skills and knowledge. Scouts Master Sita Ram Sharma and Guides Captain Malkeet Kaur of APS Damana, ensured the smooth coordination and execution of all the activities. The camp included a variety of activities aimed at fostering creativity, responsibility, and camaraderie among the children,” spokesperson said.
The students participated with great enthusiasm, demonstrating their skills and learning important life lessons through fun-filled activities. “The camp not only provided an opportunity for experiential learning but also strengthened the bond among peers,” he added.
Wing Commander (retired) M M Joshi, national secretary, J&K Bharat Scouts & Guides was the chief guest in the closing ceremony. “He inspired the students with his motivational words. This landmark event marks the beginning of an exciting new journey for Scouts and Guides,” spokesperson said.
