Apollo Hospitals Navi Mumbai launches RareCare clinic

Srinagar, Aug 28: Apollo Hospitals Navi Mumbai today launched RareCare Clinic, a specialised facility dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care for those dealing with rare and challenging cancers.

In a statement, Dr Jyoti Bajpai, Lead - Medical & Precision Oncology at Apollo Hospitals Navi Mumbai, emphasised the importance of early diagnosis for rare cancers, which often present with symptoms that can be mistaken for other conditions.

"Having been actively involved in global cancer associations like the Society of Immunotherapy in Cancers (SITC) and the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO), I've gained the expertise to accurately diagnose and treat rare cancers. This allows us to initiate the right treatment quickly, leading to better outcomes for patients," said Dr. Bajpai.

The RareCare Clinic goes beyond treating the disease, focusing on the whole person. Recognizing the emotional toll a rare cancer diagnosis can have, the clinic emphasises supportive care, addressing both physical and psychological needs, the statement said.
