Apni Party urges Centre to restore statehood, hold immediate polls in J&K

Srinagar, Feb 7: The Apni Party on Wednesday called on the Centre to restore statehood to Jammu and Kashmir and hold due assembly, panchayat, and Urban Local Bodies (ULB) polls here without any delay.

A statement of the Apni Party issued here said that these demands arose during a meeting presided over by the Apni Party President Altaf Bukhari at the Apni Party headquarters in Srinagar.

During the meeting, the leaders discussed the prevailing political situation thoroughly and deemed the holding of due assembly, Panchayat, and ULB polls imperative.

They also demanded the Centre to restore statehood to J&K as soon as possible.
