Anti-social elements trying to disturb peace in Ladakh: GM Shaheen

Srinagar, Sep 25: JD(U) J&K president GM Shaheen has said that the peace-loving citizens of Ladakh must chart their own course of tranquility, unclouded by provocative statements or instigations from vested interests.

He asserted that “any attempt to sow discord in this sensitive region under the garb of political manoeuvring shall be viewed as a direct assault on the sovereignty of the nation.”

Shaheen accused some regional parties in Jammu & Kashmir “for deliberately conspiring to inflame passions in Ladakh, seeking to exploit the situation for their narrow political mileage.”
