ANTF rally pledge: Choose Life, Not Drugs

Srinagar, Jun 26: On the occasion of International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) J&K organised a series of awareness programmes across Kashmir to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse.

ANTF Kashmir in collaboration with KRSF held a pledge ceremony titled “Choose Life, Not Drugs” at Exhibition Ground Jahangir Chowk, followed by a rally up to Ghanta Ghar Lal Chowk.

During the rally, officers and officials of ANTF engaged with the public, especially the youth, urging them to stay away from drugs and work for a drug-free society.

Speakers from ANTF and KRSF highlighted the joint responsibility of parents, teachers, religious leaders, and citizens in eradicating drug abuse. Posters depicting the hazardous effects of drugs were distributed at Lal Chowk.

The rally continued up to Dalgate via Poloview with participants chanting slogans like “Say Yes to Life, No to Drugs”. At Dalgate, ANTF Kashmir joined NCB Srinagar for a Shikara Rally from Ghat No. 1 to Ghat No. 19, flagged off by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar. The event concluded peacefully with the support of the District Administration, Traffic Police, and other stakeholders. The efforts of ANTF Kashmir were widely appreciated by those present.
