Anjali Singh takes over as CII Northern Region chairperson

Gurugram, Jul 28: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Northern Region has appointed Anjali Singh, Executive Chairperson of the ANAND Group, as its new Chairperson for 2025–26. She steps into the role following the untimely demise of Sunjay Kapur, Chairman of Sona Comstar, earlier this year.

Widely respected for her leadership in the auto component sector, Singh brings decades of experience in corporate governance, strategic planning, and business transformation. Her appointment reflects both her professional stature and her longstanding association with CII.

As Chairperson, Singh will oversee CII’s initiatives across Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and the Union Territories of Chandigarh, J&K, and Ladakh.

In her remarks, Singh acknowledged the gravity of the transition and outlined her priorities—driving next-gen reforms, strengthening district-level industrial competitiveness, expanding ESG practices, promoting tech adoption in MSMEs, and boosting workforce skilling and women’s participation in industry.
