Anantnag youth killed, his brother injured in Punjab road accident

Srinagar, Nov 20: A youth was killed, and his brother was injured after they were hit by a vehicle at Damtal area of Punjab, resulting in critical injuries to both of them.

Quoting officials, news agency GNS reported that around 10 pm on Tuesday a vehicle hit two brothers at Damtal.

Officials said, the brothers were shifted to a hospital where one of them was declared 'brought dead' while the other is being treated upon.

The dead has been identified as Sharafat Ahmad Khan and the injured has been identified as Rifakat Ahmad Khan, resident of Brariangan Shangus, Anantnag.

Police have registered a case in this regard and investigation has been taken up, officials said.
