Anant National University Ahmedabad reaches out to school students in Kashmir

Srinagar, Apr 11: Anant National University Provost Prof. Anunaya Chaubey conducted a series of design thinking workshops across Kashmir schools over three days, focusing on climate technology awareness and educational innovation.

According to a statement, Prof. Chaubey, who met with media in Srinagar on Friday, delivered hands-on workshops at Birla Open Minds International School Pampore, NIPS Zainapora Shopian, Life School Kashmir Chararsharief, and Dolphin International School Pulwama. Additional sessions are scheduled for WhizKids School and ML Higher Secondary School in Bijbehara Anantnag on Saturday.

The workshops focused on inspiring students to explore design fundamentals, develop innovative thinking, and adopt problem-solving approaches. Sessions demonstrated how design thinking integrates multiple disciplines, positioning design as a field that unites humanities, commerce, and science.

“These workshops aligned with Anant National University’s mission to integrate sustainability, design and innovation into education, as well as the objectives of the National Education Policy 2020, which advocates inculcating design thinking at an early stage to foster critical thinking and innovation,” Prof. Chaubey told reporters.

The press conference included Prof. Amitabh Pandey, Head of Communication Design at Anant National University, and Ravice Rashid, Artist in Residence at the university.
