Amit Shah slams opposition over abusive remarks against PM
New Delhi, Aug 29: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday strongly criticised the opposition for repeatedly using abusive language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying such conduct reflects political desperation. He said that attacking Modi Ji’s late mother marked a new low in public life and demanded an apology from the opposition leader to the Prime Minister, his family, and the people of India.
Amit Shah added that while 27 countries have honoured PM Modi with their highest civilian awards, the opposition continues to indulge in “politics of hatred and negativity” which the people will never support.
Amit Shah was speaking in Guwahati while inaugurating the Brahmaputra Wing of Raj Bhavan in Assam and launching projects worth Rs 322 crore, Shah praised the Northeast’s journey from conflict to peace and development under PM Modi’s leadership. He said that in the past 11 years, the region has witnessed transformative growth in infrastructure, security, and welfare. He also inaugurated India’s second National Cyber Forensic Laboratory in Guwahati, which will help fight cybercrime, narcotics, arms smuggling, and border infiltration.
