New Delhi, Dec 7: Amit Sharma, Spl Secretary Information Communications Technology (Independent Charge), Mizoram reiterated the resolve towards creating robust Cyber Security in this strategically-located North Eastern State during the all-important fireside chat held during the days annual international event of NASSCOM organised by Data Security Council of India (DSCI) in New Delhi wherein he attended several sessions and the overall programme as a Special Invitee from NES.

Amit Sharma, ICT Secretary of Mizoram, shared several initiatives already taken here to ensure cyber security and its awareness amongst citizens such as the establishment of a 24x7 Cyber Crime Cell by Police Department and a specialised Cyber Forensic Lab Forensic Science Laboratory in capital city Aizawl, apart from organising Awareness programmes on regular basis through ICT Department in collaboration with Police and Education Department.

Amit, while answering questions of Director, DSCI, NASSCOM Atul Kumar mentioned about lead technical measures taken towards making cyber resilience Mizoram by appointment of Chief Information Officer, ICT Department as CISO to overview the cyber security on real-time basis, deployment of Honeypot in collaboration with CDAC to prevent Cyber Attacks and protection of network and servers so as to make them ISO 27001:2013 compliant.

Before concluding, Secretary ICT Mizoram Amit Sharma invited the top organisations like CERT-IN through its Director General Dr Sanjay Bahl and CEO, DSCI Vianyak Godse and his team to visit Mizoram in near future and share latest global perspectives so as to help Mizoram in mitigating current burning challenges of financial frauds, digital arrest and phishing, etc towards which they expressed willingness to visit soon with a priority towards ensuring Cyber Security in North Eastern States.
