MLA Kangan discusses concerns of Bakarwals with Div Com Kashmir

Srinagar, May 29: Amid the restrictions imposed by the government on the movement of people to higher pastures, the Member of Legislative Assembly Kangan Mian Mehar Ali met the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Vijay Kumar Bidhuri and raised the concern.

MLA Kangan Mian Mehar said that he met the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir amid the concern over the restrictions from community members on moving to higher pastures and urged the Div Com Kashmir for allowing the Bakerwal (nomads) to move towards various pastures.

“Recently, we have received concerns from community members about restrictions on moving to higher pastures. I met with the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, who promptly directed the concerned Deputy Commissioners to allow the Bakerwals to move freely to these pastures without any restrictions. I sincerely thank the Divisional Commissioner for his timely support and intervention” MLA Kangan Mian Mehar Ali said.
