Srinagar, Sep 28: The Amazon Great Indian Festival 2025 has recorded a record-breaking start, attracting over 38 crore customer visits in the first two days since it opened for Prime members on 22 September and for all customers on 23 September.

More than 70% of these visitors came from beyond the top nine metro cities, highlighting the growing participation of shoppers from smaller towns and tier 2 and 3 cities.

As per the statement from Saurabh Srivastava, Vice President, Amazon India, the festival has delivered the biggest-ever opening for sellers and brand partners on Amazon.in.

“The first 48 hours have been our biggest ever, with unprecedented customer engagement and the highest number of Prime members shopping during Prime Early Access. The #GSTBachatUtsav initiative has been incredibly well-received, with sellers passing on GST benefits worth crores across categories including home appliances, electronics, daily essentials, healthcare, fashion and more,” he said.

Customers enjoyed savings with GST benefits, access to more than 1 lakh products at discounted prices, and over 30,000 new product launches across smartphones, laptops, TVs, fashion, beauty, home décor, appliances, furniture, and groceries. Premium categories, including QLED and Mini-LED TVs, air fryers, lab diamonds, professional beauty products, and festive items like Diwali hampers, saw strong growth.
