Amarnath Yatra: Shahid Iqbal, Bhupinder Kumar nominated as nodal officers

Jammu, June 19: The government has nominated senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers and Administrative Secretaries of the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj and Public Works (R&B) Department as nodal officers for smooth conduct of Shri Amarnathji Yatra-2024 for Baltal and Pahalgam axis respectively.

As per an order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, Administrative Secretary, Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj and Bhupinder Kumar, Administrative Secretary, the Public Works (R&B) Department will be the nodal officers for smooth conduct of Shri Amarnathji Yatra-2024 for the Baltal axis and Pahalgam axis respectively, in addition to their duties.

“The officers shall closely monitor and liaise with all concerned agencies involved in the conduct of Shri Amarnathji Yatra-2024 and shall report to Chief Executive Officer, Shri AmarnathJi Shrine Board regularly,” the order read.
