Amarnath Yatra crosses 4 lakh mark in 24 days

Ganderbal, July 22: Amarnath Yatra, which commenced on June 29, crossed the 4 lakh mark in the first 24 days of the yatra till Monday, officials said.

“A total of 12,539 yatris had darshan on Monday,” they said. “This brought the number of yatris who have been to the Amarnath cave shrine this year to 4,08,518 so far.”

The 52-day yatra would conclude on August 19 on Raksha Bandhan.

More than 4.5 lakh yatris paid obeisance at the Amarnath cave shrine last year.
