Amarnath Yatra crosses 2 lakh mark in 11 days

Baltal, July 9: The number of yatris paying obeisance at the Amarnath cave shrine in south Kashmir crossed the 2 lakh mark in 11 days this year.

Officials said that over 2.20 lakh yatris paid obeisance at the Amarnath cave shrine since the commencement of the yatra on June 29.

“About 20,000 pilgrims performed the yatra on Tuesday from both Baltal and Pahalgam routes and had darshan on the 11th day of the yatra,” they said.
