Alumni Meet held at IUST's Deptt of Food Technology

Srinagar, Nov 21: The Department of Food Technology at the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) Awantipora organized an alumni meet.

A statement said that the event brought together alumni working in different sectors who shared their experiences and expertise with the students, providing valuable insights into career opportunities and professional development.

The meeting was presided over by Prof. Lily Want, Dean Outreach IUST and attended by Head Department of Food Technology Dr. Tariq Ahmad Ganaie, the Alumni Coordinator IUST Dr Liyaqat Nazir, faculty members, staff, and students.

Dean Outreach highlighted the importance of alumni engagement and the IUST's commitment in fostering strong connections with the alumni.

The alumni discussed emerging trends in the food industry, job market dynamics, and the skills and competencies required for successful careers.

The students actively participated in the discussions and sought guidance on pursuing their career aspirations. The event also served as a platform for networking and building connections between current students and alumni, fostering a sense of community and mentorship within the department.
