Altaf Bukhari urges PM, HM, EAM to evacuate J&K’s students from Iran
Srinagar, Mar 2: Apni Party President Altaf Bukhari has appealed to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and the External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar to take immediate and proactive steps to ensure the safe evacuation of students from Jammu & Kashmir who are currently stranded in Iran amid the prevailing war-like situation.
As per KNS, hundreds of families are in deep distress as their children remain in Iran facing an extremely grave and uncertain environment.
The restrictions on internet and telecommunications services in Iran have further intensified their anxiety, as many parents are unable to establish contact with their children, he said. Given the gravity of this crisis, it is imperative that urgent and coordinated measures be undertaken to ensure the safety and prompt evacuation of these students, he added.
