Altaf Bukhari urges Centre to provide medical care to Shabir Shah

Srinagar, June 21: J&K Apni Party chief Altaf Bukhari on Saturday urged the Union government to ensure timely and adequate medical treatment for incarcerated separatist leader Shabir Ahmad Shah, who is reportedly suffering from prostate cancer and requires immediate surgery.

In a post on X, Bukhari, as per the KNS, said that ideological differences should not obstruct the basic rights of any individual and called for Shah to be provided with the best possible medical care, in a manner that satisfies both him and his family.

“Media reports suggest that he is suffering from prostate cancer and requires immediate surgery. I request the Union government to ensure Mr. Shah receives timely and proper medical attention without delay,” Bukhari said.

He also conveyed his wishes for Shah’s recovery.(KNS)
