Altaf Bukhari pays obeisance at Gurdwara Raika Labana in Ramgarh
Ramgarh (Samba), Nov 27: Apni Party president Syed Muhammad Altaf Bukhari along with senior leaders of his party Monday paid obeisance at the Gurdwara in Raika Labana village of Ramgarh in district Samba on the auspicious occasion of birth anniversary of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
According to a press release, Altaf Bukhari was accompanied by senior vice president, Ghulam Hassan Mir, provincial president Jammu, Manjit Singh and other leaders of the party during his visit to the Gurdwara in Ramgarh.
The Apni Party president paid obeisance at the Gurdwara where hundreds of Sikh community members were also present to mark the celebration of Gurupurab and participated in Kirtan.
On this occasion, the Gurdwara Management Committee presented Siropa and Kirpan to Altaf Bukhari as a mark of respect.
In his speech, Bukhari greeted the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the eve of Gurupurab and hoped that the auspicious occasion would show the right path to the people across Jammu and Kashmir, the nation and the world.
“The teachings of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji are most important in the present times when the world is facing conflicts. There is dire need to have peace at global level,” said Altaf Bukhari while speaking on the occasion.
Contrary to the existing turbulent situation across the world, he recalled how the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji emerged as a ray of hope for the society.
“These teachings have become more important and emerged as a ray of hope for humankind to spend a peaceful co-existence and promote communal brotherhood among people of different faiths,” he stated, asking the people to follow the footsteps of Sikh Guru Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
He also said that the teachings of Guruji also advocated empowerment of women, equal rights and help them to have a progressive life while fighting against the harassment they faced in the society.
Bukhari elaborated how Guru Nanak Dev Ji fought against injustice and inequality in the society.
“Guru Ji’s fight against injustice brought equality for the neglected class of society religiously and socially. Besides, the teachings also encouraged people to stand against injustice,” he stated.
Besides, prominent people, PRIs, businessmen, the Apni Party district president, Samba, Raman Thappa; district president Legal Wing, Sahil Bharti; block president Ramgarh, Bachan Choudhary; provincial president youth wing Jammu, Vipul Bali; district president youth wing Samba, Mangat Ram; Naveen Choudhary, Amrik Singh, additional media coordinator, Sandeep Vaid also paid obeisance and participated in Gurupurab celebrations.
