Altaf Bukhari extends condolences to Mirwaiz Umar Farooq

Srinagar, Nov 03: Apni Party chief Altaf Bukhari Sunday expressed his condolences over the passing away of Mirwaiz family patriarch and eminent Islamic scholar, Maulvi Muhammad Ahmed Shah, son of late Mirwaiz Maulvi Yousuf Shah.

Bukhari said, Muhammad Ahmed Shah was a revered figure and a true 'son of soil' and was highly regarded by those who knew him.

"I extend my deepest condolences to Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Sahib and the entire family. May Almighty Allah grant his noble soul the highest place in Jannah," Bukhari wrote on his official X-handle.

Earlier today, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq announced the death of their family's patriarch. Farooq also announced that funeral prayers for the deceased will be held in absentia at Jamia Masjid Srinagar tomorrow afternoon.
