All India Police Water Sports Championship to begin today
Srinagar, Mar 2: An introductory meeting was held with managers of all participating teams in the 23rd All India Police Water Sports Championship 2024 scheduled to take place from March 3 to 8 at SKICC Srinagar.
The meeting was chaired by Vijay Kumar, ADGP Armed/L&O Jammu and Kashmir, to discuss preparations and coordination for the upcoming national championship.
At the onset of the meeting, team managers presented self-introduction and gave their brief resumes.
ADGP Armed, L&O J&K during his address welcomed all the participating team managers, Technical staff and other Police and Civil Officers and gave brief highlights of the 7-day extravaganza.
During his address, the ADGP also enjoined upon all the officers of various committees involved in the conduct of the mega event to do their best in making this event a mega success and also impressed upon the team managers to give their feedback about the necessary preparations/ arrangements viz-a-viz accommodation, transportation etc put-up for the convenience of all the participating teams in the event. Miss Bilkis Mir Competition Director also gave a brief resume of the mega event.
The officers who attended the meeting also include Vidhi Kumar Birdi, IGP Kashmir, Rajive Omprakash Pande DIG CKR Srinagar, Shahid Mehraj, DIG Armed Kmr, Abdul Qayoom, DIG IRP Kmr, all Commandants of Kashmir based AP/IR Battalions, Showkat Hussain SSP PCR Kashmir, Muzafar Hussain Shah-SSP Traffic Kashmir, Kuldeep Handoo DySP (Sports) APHQ, Director SKICC Srinagar, Bilkis Mir (Competition Director), Team managers/ Technical Staff of all participating teams and other Officers.
