Alam-e-Hazrat Abbas (AS) procession observed in Kargil
Kargil, July 16: In adherence to a long-standing tradition, the Alam-e-Hazrat Abbas Alamdar (AS) procession was observed with reverence and fervour in Kargil.
Thousands of mourners from various villages gathered in Kargil town, passing through significant landmarks like Fatima Chowk, Isna Ashriya Chowk, Khomenie Chowk, Lal Chowk, and Isna Ashriya Campus Kargil.
Under the banner of Jamiat-ul-Ulama Isna Ashriya Kargil (JUIAK) Ladakh and the guidance of JUIAK Ladakh volunteers, participants engaged in chest-beating, chanting Noha, performing Matam Zanjeer, and raising slogans.
The procession started with the religious scholars studying in Najaf Ashraf Iraq, Qom, and Mashad Muqaddas Iran who are on Tableegi Mission in Kargil and scholars from different villages of Kargil along with President and Executive Members of JUIAK Ladakh.
Various organisations set up Sabeel stalls to offer water and refreshments, expressing their devotion and support to the mourners.
