Airlines suspend Middle East flights
New Delhi, Feb 28: Following the US-Israel strikes on Iran and Iranís retaliatory missile attacks on scattered Gulf countries, several airlines have cancelled or suspended flights across the West Asia and Middle East due to airspace restrictions and security concerns.
Indian carriers IndiGo and Air India suspended multiple services to the region. IndiGo temporarily halted flights to and from several Middle Eastern destinations amid evolving airspace restrictions around Iran. The suspension affects routes connecting cities such as Dubai, Jeddah, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Dammam, Bahrain, Sharjah, Kuwait.
Air India suspended all west-bound international flights until further notice after its Delhi-Tel Aviv service was diverted to Mumbai following the closure of Israeli airspace.
Several global carriers also cancelled scheduled services to the region.
