Air Chief Marshal Chaudhari visits Tangdhar, Uri | Interacts with soldiers, celebrates Dussehra with them
Srinagar, Oct 24: Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Vivek Ram Chaudhari Tuesday visited the Tangdhar and Uri sectors of north Kashmir where he interacted with the soldiers, and celebrated Dussehra with them.
Senior Army officials said that Air Chief Marshal Chaudhari landed at Tangdhar Brigade Headquarters and celebrated Dussehra with the soldiers.
“He also interacted with the officers and the soldiers,” they said. “The officers briefed the Air Force chief about the prevailing situation along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Tangdhar sector.”
Air Chief Marshal Chaudhari also visited Rampur Brigade Headquarters in Uri and also celebrated Dussehra with them besides engaging in an interaction with the officers and the soldiers.

The Indian Air Force currently has over 60 air stations all over the country.
These are grouped into seven commands: Western Air Command at New Delhi, Eastern Air Command at Shillong, Central Air Command at Prayagraj, Southern Air Command at Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum), South Western Air Command at Gandhinagar, Training Command at Bengaluru, and Maintenance Command at Nagpur.
The largest airbase is in Hindon, Uttar Pradesh.
