Inam said Sopore, with its population, commercial significance and administrative load, fully merits upgradation as an independent district. “Sopore has contributed immensely to the region’s economy and deserves administrative empowerment. AIP will raise this demand at every appropriate forum,” he assured the gathering.

Inam Un Nabi also expressed serious concern about the inadequate healthcare facilities at Sub-District Hospital Sopore, calling for the immediate sanctioning of an MRI machine and a fully functional Dialysis Centre. He said that patients from Sopore and adjoining areas are compelled to travel long distances for critical diagnostic and life-support services, causing immense hardship, especially to the poor.

The meeting saw enthusiastic participation from local workers and youth, who pledged full support to AIP’s ongoing efforts to secure long-overdue rights and facilities for Sopore.
