AIP MLA Sheikh Khursheed chairs meeting
Srinagar, May 11: The Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) MLA Sheikh Khursheed today chaired a meeting and deployed teams to support communities affected by recent cross-border shelling in J&K.
The shelling has caused significant damage and loss of life, particularly in areas like Karnah, Nowgam, Uri, Chowkibal, Machil, Jamgund, and other nearby regions, a press release said.
MLA Langate Sheikh Khursheed, AIP condemned the unprovoked shelling and expressed solidarity with the affected families. “Our teams, including volunteers and medical staff, are on the ground providing essential supplies and helping displaced families,” said.
The relief teams are distributing food, blankets, medical supplies, and other necessities while working with local authorities to ensure safe evacuations near the Line of Control (LoC). AIP has also launched an urgent Blood Donation Program to help injured civilians and security personnel.
