AIP candidate Nazir Khan files nomination for Budgam by-election

Srinagar, Oct 20: Awami Itihaad Party (AIP) has announced that its candidate for the upcoming Budgam Assembly bye-election as Nazir Ahmad Khan formally submitted his nomination papers.

AIP Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi, while congratulating Nazir Ahmad Khan for filing his nomination, said that AIP is fully committed to the development and upliftment of Budgam constituency. He said that successive governments—be it NC from last years, NC-Congress or PDP-BJP—have always ignored Budgam, leaving its people deprived of basic amenities and developmental focus.

“Voting for AIP is voting for justice, development and the restoration of political rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” Inam said, adding that incarcerated MP Engineer Rashid’s politics of truth and people’s empowerment has inspired thousands and AIP continues to carry forward his mission of transparent governance and grassroots representation.

Later, addressing a gathering of enthusiastic workers at Galwanpora, senior AIP Leader and Budgam District Incharge, Mehraj U Din said that “Budgam will go the Parliament way this time — the people will vote overwhelmingly for AIP candidate Nazir Ahmad Khan.” He added that “all the promises made by AIP are being fulfilled one by one and the people have witnessed the sincerity and results of this movement led by Er Rashid.”
