AIIMS Jammu to commence OPD services from August 1

Jammu, July 30: AIIMS Jammu will officially begin its OPD (Outpatient Department) services with effect from August 1, 2024.

“This exciting development represents a major step in our ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare to our community. Starting August 1, our OPD services will cover 20 different specialty areas and 9 super-specialty areas. We will also offer a range of laboratory tests and radiology imaging services based on patient needs,” stated AIIMS Jammu, Executive Director and CEO, Prof (Dr) Shakti Kumar Gupta.

According to him, for walk-in patients needing screening, the AYUSH block will be open with registration available from Monday to Friday, between 8 am and 1 pm, and on Saturdays from 8 am to 11 am.

“The patients, who have a referral or an online appointment, need to visit the main OPD block, where registration is available Monday to Saturday from 8:30 am to 11 am,” Dr Shakti Gupta said.

“Patients can also schedule online appointments using the “AIIMS Jammu Swasthya” App, which is available on the Google Play Store. Additionally, certain specialty clinics will be operational with registration available Monday to Friday from 12:30 pm to 2 pm,” he stated.

“Detailed information on the various super-specialty and specialty departments is being publicised in the leading newspapers or the people may visit the AIIMS Jammu website. We look forward to serving people and making a positive impact on their healthcare journey,” Dr Shakti Gupta said.

OPD days for super-specialty departments Endocrinology, Paediatric Surgery, CTVS, Nephrology, Neurosurgery, Neurology and Urology will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday; for Burns & Plastic surgery, OPD days will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday while for Surgical Gastroenterology, OPD days will be Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

For Specialty departments of General Medicine; General Surgery; Paediatrics; Gynaecology & Obstetrics; Dermatology; Ophthalmology; ENT; Orthopaedics; Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation; Pain Clinic; Palliative care clinic; Family Medicine; Immunohematology clinic; Radiotherapy; Dentistry and Trauma & Emergency Medicine, OPD services will be available on all days. For Specialty departments of Psychiatry, OPD days will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday; for Psycho-therapy clinic, OPD days will be Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday; for Conservative Dentistry, OPD days will be on Tuesday and Friday; for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, OPD days will be Monday and Thursday while for Orthodontics, OPD days will Wednesday and Saturday.
