Ahata Waqar Day Care Centre holds eye camp

Srinagar, Sep 21: Under the aegis of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Srinagar, Ahata Waqar, a day care and recreation center located in Chanapora, organised a free eye camp in collaboration with ASG Eye Hospital, Srinagar.

The event was held under the guidance of Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority, Principal District & Sessions Judge Srinagar, Jaffar Hussain Baig.

Nusrat Ali Hakak, Secretary DLSA, attended the event as Chief Guest and formally inaugurated the camp. The free eye camp was aimed to provide essential eye care services to the elderly members of Ahata Waqar, as well as to other participants from the local community.

The event saw members of Ahata Waqar availing of the free eye check-ups and consultations provided by the expert medical team from ASG Eye Hospital.

Speaking on the occasion, Abdul Ganie Parray, Chairman of the Senior Citizens Council, commended the efforts of DLSA Srinagar and ASG Eye Hospital for their collaborative initiative to ensure accessible healthcare services for the elderly.

Shabir Mujahid, former Director of Doordarshan, also lauded the services being provided at Ahata Waqar for senior citizens.
