After garnering PM’s praise, Pulwama’s young entrepreneur snaps selfie
Srinagar/ Pulwama, Mar 7: After getting the praise of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his speech at the Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar on Thursday, a young entrepreneur from south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, Nazim Nazeer snapped a selfie with the PM.
During the rally, PM Modi mentioned the entrepreneurial journey of Nazeer, whom he referred to as his friend.
Later, the PM shared his selfie with Nazeer on social media and praised him for his achievements and wished him success in his future endeavours.
“A memorable selfie with my friend Nazim. I was impressed by the good work he’s doing. At the public meeting, he requested a selfie and was happy to meet him. My best wishes for his future endeavours,” the PM posted on X along with the selfie.
PM Modi commended Nazeer for leading a “sweet revolution” in Kashmir and recognised the agricultural impact of beekeeping, stating that bees also help in farming.
He praised Nazeer for choosing a different path from the traditional career options of doctor or engineer and encouraged him to continue his entrepreneurial journey.
Nazeer thanked the administration for organising the event and selecting him for an interaction with the PM.
He suggested aspiring entrepreneurs start small and work hard, emphasising that there were no shortcuts to success.
Reflecting on his interaction with PM Modi, Nazeer described the moment when he requested a selfie with the PM as joyful.
He thanked the PM for his willingness to take a selfie, describing it as a memorable moment.
As the interaction at the event went on, PM Modi asked him what he wanted to become when he was young.
Nazeer said his parents wanted him to become either a doctor or an engineer, but he wanted to do something else.
"Your family recognised your potential. You could have become a doctor but you didn’t take that route. And by doing that, you led Kashmir's sweet revolution. Many, many congratulations,” the PM said. “This is a completely new sector because bees help in farming also. So your work helps other farmers.”
Following his interaction with PM Modi, his phone is continuously buzzing while his WhatsApp is flooded with congratulatory messages.
Talking to Greater Kashmir, Nazeer said that he was on cloud nine after interacting with the PM.
"My dream of clicking a selfie with the PM came true,” he said.
Nazeer also thanked Greater Kashmir for carrying his story.
“I duly acknowledge the crucial role played by the story in making my journey successful,” he said.
In 2018, Greater Kashmir had written a feature about the young entrepreneur’s beekeeping initiative. The article was published on the newspaper’s special Endeavour page.
