After 7-year wait, Thanamandi gets modern healthcare infrastructure
Rajouri, Dec 20: The long-awaited hospital building in Thanamandi has finally been handed over to the Health Department following decisive intervention by Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma. The development has been widely appreciated by the general public, as the Community Health Centre (CHC) has now been shifted to the new building and is fully functional.
The project, which had been lingering for years due to various delays, received a fresh impetus last month when the DC, during an inspection, issued firm directions to the executing agency to complete the pending electrical works within 15 days. True to his commitment to public welfare, the Deputy Commissioner personally visited the site to assess progress and ensure timely completion of the work.
The new facility comes as a major relief for the people of Thanamandi, who previously had to access healthcare services in a congested space that lacked adequate infrastructure. The commissioning of the new building has significantly improved the healthcare environment, providing better facilities for both patients and medical staff.
Speaking on the occasion, DC Rajouri said, "Health is a basic necessity for the general public. It is our responsibility to ensure that essential healthcare services are accessible to everyone. Resolving the long-pending issues related to this project was a priority, and I am pleased to see the facility now functional and serving the people of Thanamandi."
