Advisor Bhatnagar interacts with PRI representatives, locals
Samba, Nov 14 : Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar today visited Panchayat Chak Salarian, Ramgarh block here to mark the second leg of fifth phase of flagship Back to Village (B2V5 ) programme.
Deputy Commissioner, Samba, Abhishek Sharma; SSP Samba, Benam Tosh; ADDC Samba Rajinder Singh; Sarpanch, Panchayat Chak Salarian, Vijay Chaudhary; all district and sectoral officers were present on the event.
During the visit, the Advisor took detailed review of the progress made by various departments like PWD, Agriculture Department, Social Welfare, Rural Development, Jal Shakti and other departments in implementation of various schemes as well as projects of public importance. He also reviewed the action taken on the last Back to Village visits and took stock of issues raised by the locals like upgradation of roads, better road infrastructure, pension cases approval, among others.
Speaking on the occasion, Advisor Bhatnagar emphasized on the issue of drug addiction and the necessity of collective efforts to make the district drug-free. He discussed the detrimental effects of drug addiction and stressed on the importance of acknowledging the problem.
He further emphasized on the cooperation of locals in identifying drug peddlers and dealing with them firmly. He also urged people to take advantage of programs like HADP and stated that these initiatives have positively impacted the lives of the people of border areas like Ramgarh. Furthermore, he encouraged locals to utilize online services and PSGA.
The Advisor on the occasion also highlighted that the overarching goal of the Government is “zero corruption and maximum development.”
During the event, the Advisor Bhatnagar also distributed certificates among eligible beneficiaries and inspected departmental stalls, Amrit Sarovar and also interacted with PRI representatives and locals.
During the welcome address Sarpanch Panchayat Chak Salarian Vijay Chaudhary hailed the government for empowering Panchayats, creating Amrit Sarovar, improving power scenarios, and undertaking other development works.
