Srinagar, July 30: The Administrative Council, which met here Tuesday under the chairmanship of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, approved revised administrative approval for the construction of 6000 transit accommodations in Kashmir for Kashmir migrant government employees engaged under PMDP-2015 and taking up allied works at various locations of transit accommodations in Kashmir.

An official spokesman said that the decision is aimed at creating some allied infrastructure facilities for the transit accommodations which would facilitate early allotment of quarters to the employees.

The spokesman said that the decision would enable early completion of the construction of targeted accommodation for migrant employees by providing additional funds for construction purposes.

Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction would ensure that allied works related to security arrangements like watch towers and installation of CCTV cameras are taken up to ensure the security of the inhabitants.

Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar; Chief Secretary, Atal Dulloo and Principal Secretary to LG Mandeep K Bhandari were present in the meeting.
