Admin neglecting historic heritage buildings, religious sites in Srinagar: NC
Srinagar, July 6: National Conference (NC) General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar today accused the administration of neglecting the historic heritage buildings and religious sites in Srinagar.
In a statement, he expressed deep concern over the neglect and decay of historical and religious sites throughout Srinagar. Sagar said, "It is truly disgraceful to see these significant landmarks being left to crumble before our eyes. The lack of care and attention given to these sites is simply unacceptable and must be rectified immediately. It is a sad testament to the administration's priorities that they are allowing such neglect to persist."
The NC leader stated that the condition of Zirayat Sharief Hazrat Syed Mohammad Habibullah Sarkhabi (RA) at Syed Kocha Kawdara is particularly distressing.” It is imperative that the government address the deteriorating infrastructure and lack of facilities at these Shrines. It is not just Sarkhabi Sahib's shrine that is suffering; the condition of all city shrines, big and small, is deplorable. The government needs to step up and give these sites the attention they deserve," he said.
