ADGP reviews security situation in Poonch
Rajouri, Nov 18: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu zone, Anand Jain, on Monday reviewed the security situation in Poonch.
He asked the security forces to strengthen intelligence network in the district. ADGP reviewed the security situation and took stock of operational preparedness of forces. He interacted with officers and other personnel of police including those from the Special Operation Group (SoG).
Anand Jain was accompanied by the DIG RP Range; DIG Training (PHQ); and SSP Poonch, Shafqat Hussain.
During the visit, the ADGP was briefed on the status of the training programs, operational readiness, the overall security scenario, and the measures put in place to strengthen the security apparatus in the region. As part of the review, the ADGP also interacted with the personnel of the Special Operations Group (SOG). He addressed issues related to equipment, infrastructure, and welfare, ensuring that all units are fully equipped to handle any challenges they may face in the line of duty.
The ADGP emphasised upon the officers to strengthen the intelligence network and work in a well-coordinated and synergized manner to counter any threat on any front. The officers were also encouraged to focus on collecting robust electronic and circumstantial evidence to secure convictions, expedite case disposals, and reduce case backlogs.
