ADGP Armed J&K reviews arrangements for ‘Pedal Through Paradise’ Cycle Race in Srinagar
Srinagar, Jul 15: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Armed J&K, Anand Jain, reviewed the arrangements for the upcoming cycle race—the 2025 “Pedal Through Paradise” cycle race scheduled for July 20 under the Civic Action Programme of J&K Police.
As per a statement issued, the event is being organised under the esteemed patronage of Nalin Prabhat, IPS, DGP J&K Anand Jain, IPS, ADGP Armed J&K, is the Chairman of the event, while Shahid Mehraj, IPS, DIG Armed Kashmir, is serving as the organising secretary.
The ADGP Armed, chairman of the event, issued necessary instructions to the officers concerned to ensure the successful conduct of the event. He emphasised maintaining high standards of discipline, coordination, and hospitality for all participants and guests.
The “Pedal Through Paradise Cycle Race-2025” is open to people from all walks of life, including schoolchildren, youth, amateur riders, and professional cyclists. The event aims to promote fitness, sportsmanship, and community engagement among the youth across the Valley.
During the review, the ADGP assessed various critical aspects, including logistics, security, traffic management, media coordination, medical support, and overall communication strategies for the smooth execution of the event.
The organising team briefed the ADGP on the route planning, safety measures, expected participation, and media coverage plans.
The cycle race, as per the statement, is expected to witness enthusiastic participation from across the Valley, reflecting the growing interest in cycling and fitness activities among the youth and sports lovers.
The review meeting, among others, was attended by Rajiv Pandey IPS, DIG CKR, Shahid Mehraj, IPS, DIG Armed Kashmir, Aijaz Ahmad, IPS, SSP Traffic, Srinagar, and Dalip Kumar, Staff Officer to ADGP Armed J&K.
Commandants of AP/IR Battalions Manoj Kumar Pandita, SSP, AIG Training/Communication, PHQ J&K, Munir Ahmad, SSP, APCR Kashmir, and other officers.
