Srinagar, Sept 10: The Australian Catholic University (ACU) has announced a new scholarship scheme aimed at high-achieving and meritorious students from South Asia, opening from 2026.

The Executive Dean’s International Scholarship will provide financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate and postgraduate students from Bhutan, India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. As per university details, the package will cover-

Tuition support – financial assistance toward study fees.

Travel costs– support for airfare to Australia.

Relocation expenses– help with settling into Australia.

Visa fees– coverage of the costs associated with student visa applications.

ACU Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Zlatko Skrbis emphasized South Asia’s position as a hub of ambitious talent and underlined ACU’s commitment to supporting future leaders who will deepen cross-country ties.

The merit-based scholarship will be open to both undergraduate and postgraduate students from south asian countries who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential and a commitment to making a positive impact in their communities.
