ACB Srinagar arrests RDD official in bribery case, raids continue

Srinagar, Feb 6: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday arrested a Rural Development Department (RDD) official posted at the Block Development Office (BDO) Gund in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district while accepting a bribe.

The accused has been identified as Mohammad Ashraf Malik, a resident of Ganderbal.

Sources said that the official was caught red-handed while taking an illegal gratification.

Officials confirmed that the raids were still underway when reports last came in.

A case has been registered, and further investigation is in progress.
