India and the UAE have shared a strong and lasting relationship that has deepened significantly in recent years. The Comprehensive Strategic Partnership established between the two countries in 2017 has paved the way for closer ties in many areas.

Trade and investment between India and the UAE have grown rapidly, with the UAE becoming one of India’s top trading partners. Both nations have collaborated on major infrastructure projects, such as the development of ports and renewable energy initiatives.

A key element of the strong India-UAE relationship is the large Indian diaspora in the UAE, which is over 3.5 million strong. This community forms the largest expatriate group in the UAE and has made massive constructive contributions to the country’s economy and society.

The Indian community in the UAE is actively involved in promoting Indian culture and heritage, with festivals like Diwali, Eid and Holi being celebrated with great enthusiasm.

Indian expatriates play crucial roles in various sectors, including construction, healthcare, education, and finance. Their hard work and dedication have not only strengthened the UAE’s economy but have also fostered closer cultural and social ties between the two nations.

In addition to economic ties, the two countries have strengthened their political and defence cooperation. They have conducted joint military exercises and worked closely on regional security issues.

The UAE has also supported India’s initiatives on the international stage, such as backing India’s bid for a permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council.

Cultural and educational exchanges have further enriched the relationship. Recently, both nations have collaborated on technology and innovation projects, particularly in the fields of artificial intelligence and space exploration.

The Crown Prince’s visit is expected to build on these successes, reinforcing the strong bond between India and the UAE and exploring new avenues for cooperation in emerging areas.
