AAP to field candidate for Budgam Assembly seat

Srinagar, April 15: The coalition partner of the National Conference (NC) in Jammu and Kashmir, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has decided to field its candidate on the Budgam Assembly seat.
AAP Jammu and Kashmir President and Doda MLA, Mehraj Malik, has said that the party will contest in the Budgam assembly by poll.

The polls were necessitated after Chief Minister Omar Abdullah vacated the seat following his win in the Ganderbal assembly segment as well.

On contesting the elections from Budgam, Malik said, “Our party will contest the seat to win it.”
Earlier, the NC’s Srinagar MP, Aga Ruhullah Mehdi, urged Omar to field a local candidate on the assembly seat. (TOI)
