Aakansha Haat culminates successfully in Ramban, showcasing local enterprise
Ramban, Aug 8: The week-long Aakansha Haat concluded successfully today in Ramban, celebrating the region’s entrepreneurial energy and cultural diversity. Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan attended the valedictory ceremony as Chief Guest and felicitated participating entrepreneurs, Self Help Groups (SHGs), and departments for their contributions to the event’s success.
The closing ceremony was also attended by Chief Planning Officer Dr Shakeeb Ahmed Rather, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Mohammad Ashfaq, GM DIC Ravinder Anand, BDO Ramban Shalini Chandel, along with other district officers and prominent citizens.
The event featured a wide range of stalls showcasing locally produced goods including handicrafts, handloom items, organic and agro-products, woollens, honey, pickles, and decorative tiles. These products reflected the craftsmanship and commitment of local farmers, artisans, and SHGs supported by various government departments.
Special emphasis was placed on promoting women and youth entrepreneurs from aspirational blocks, whose innovative displays impressed buyers and highlighted the success of convergence under the Aspirational Blocks Programme of NITI Aayog.
The Aakansha Haat not only provided a platform for economic empowerment but also reinforced community engagement, pride, and collaboration in Ramban.
