A Farewell to the Blessed Month
O Ramadhan, the month so bright,
A gift from Allah, a shining light.
You came with mercy, love, and grace,
And filled our hearts in every place.
The doors of heaven opened wide,
As Satan’s chains were cast aside.
The soul found peace, the heart found rest,
In every moment, we felt blessed.
The first ten days—Rahmat divine,
Allah’s mercy on us did shine.
Each prayer, each tear, each whispered plea,
Drew us closer, set us free.
The second Ashra, Magfirat’s call,
Forgiveness granted to one and all.
Our sins erased, our hearts made pure,
Allah’s love—so strong, so sure.
Then came the final blessed days,
A time to seek, a time to praise.
Laylat-ul-Qadr, a night so grand,
Better than a thousand spans.
In odd nights deep, we searched with tears,
Hoping our prayers would reach His ears.
Allah’s promise, true and bright,
A night of power, a night of light.
Now as you leave, our hearts do ache,
O Ramadan, for your sake.
We pray, we weep, we bid goodbye,
Hoping next year, again you’ll fly.
May Allah accept our fasting days,
Our Taraweeh, our heartfelt praise.
May He forgive, may He bestow,
His endless mercy, His loving glow.
Aasif waits, his heart so keen,
For Ramadan’s return, again serene.
Till then, we strive, we stand, we pray,
To meet you in another May.
Alwida, O month so bright,
May we see again your blessed light.
