Kangan, Jan 20: Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Kangan Mian Mehar Ali Tuesday said that the Kangan constituency has almost 90 per cent road connectivity and efforts are being made to provide connectivity to those areas which still lack roads.
“Some people make false statements that Kangan is underdeveloped but reality is that the road connectivity in Kangan is almost 90 per cent” he said, adding that some areas where the road connectivity is not available are being addressed.
He said many roads, bridges including Sumbal bridge have been sanctioned and in future work will start on these projects. He said these are not overnight things but need follow ups and lot of paper works and then the projects get sanctioned. Earlier, in a significant move to strengthen road connectivity in remote areas of the Kangan Assembly constituency, Mehar Ali laid the foundation stone of a vital road project at Sumbal Bala area here being executed by the Public works department (R&B). This long-pending road project is expected to provide major relief to the residents of far-flung villages who have endured hardship due to the absence of all-weather motorable connectivity. Completion of this roads will significantly improve access to healthcare, education, markets, and other essential services.
