Srinagar, Nov 29: Nine innovative models from the Rajya Stariya Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshani 2023-24 have been selected from JKSCERT for the prestigious national-level Rashtriya Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshani-2024.

The event is scheduled to be held in Panchkula, Haryana, from December 16 to 21 of 2024. The selection marks the highest number of entries selected so far.

The Rashtriya Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshani (RBVP) is a flagship programme sponsored by NCERT, New Delhi and is aimed at fostering scientific temperament, creativity, and innovation among students across the nation.

It serves as a platform for young minds studying in classes 9th to 12th of both Government and Government recognized schools to showcase their innovative ideas and address real-world challenges through science and technology.

The RBVP not only inspires students to explore the possibilities of scientific inquiry but also contributes to the nation’s growth by encouraging self-reliance and innovation.

Senior Academic Officer and Divisional Level (K) coordinator of RSBVP Dr. Sajad Hussain Mir said that six of the selected models are from the Kashmir Division.

As per the official handout, these innovative models include the Green House Gas Absorber and Converter developed by Aroosha Manzoor from Sir Syed Memorial Institute Dooru Anantnag, Snow Melting Pathway for Hospitals developed by Afsah Saleh from Peace School Nagam Srinagar, Eye for the Blind developed by Zuha Gulzar from Rainbow International Educational Institute Shopian, Auto Irrigation Auto Spray Anti-Hail System developed by Tabish Tariq from Kids Career Public School Kapren Shopian, Carbon Monoxide Detector developed by Zurain Nazir from GD Goenka Public School Srinagar, and Multipurpose Artificial Intelligence-Based Robotic Vehicle developed by Sahil Mehraj from Hill Top Educational Institute Darend Ganderbal.

"The success of SCERT-JK at RBVP highlights the importance of encouraging scientific inquiry and inventiveness, paving the way for a brighter and self-reliant future for the students of Jammu and Kashmir," the handout reads.

Joint Director SCERT-Kashmir Division, Roshan Lal has congratulated all the selected students and their escort teachers for their exceptional achievement.
