8 injured in Poonch bus mishap

Poonch, Jul 25: At Least eight people travelling in a passenger bus sustained injuries in a road mishap that took place at Kalai on Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch national highway.

A Police official said the accident took place when a bus bearing registration number JK12D 5793 was on way to Jammu from Poonch and it skidded off the highway and fell in roadside drain.

Eight passengers travelling in the ill-fated bus got injured who were shifted to Raja Sukhdev Singh District Hospital Poonch where they all are under treatment and hospitalised.

Police have taken up necessary legal proceedings and investigation into the matter.
