7th Interfaith Dialogue Conference held in Budgam
Srinagar, Jun 3: Renewed commitment to the cultivation of human brotherhood and communal harmony in the J&K and Ladakh was affirmed on the occasion of 36th commemration of Imam Khomeini (RA) in an inter-faith dialogue: Its role in cultivating peace.
The conference was organised by Anjuman Interfaith Dialogue Chapter ‘s Founding chairman Agha Syed Hasan Al-Musawi Al-Safvi, who also holds its chairmanship, said a statement.
“The Conference was attended by various dignitaries belonging to different religions and sects who put forth the valuable discourses on the myriad aspects of the humanist life of our Imam Khomeini, the philanthropist,” said the statement.
For the promotion of interfaith brotherhood, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Siddiq Wahid, Waheed Ur Rehman Parra, RTI Activist Raja Muzaffar, Dr Harbaksh Singh, Ghulam Nabi Var, Sardar Angat Singh, Sadiq Hardasi, pastors Paul and John Phillips and others were present. In the conference, speakers stressed on effective role in promoting human values, human brotherhood and communal tolerance in the Kashmir Valley and said will work for the prevention of all the motives that undermine the ideals of mutual brotherhood and inter-faith unity in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, said the statement.
