7 special guests invited from Jammu region

Jammu, Jan 10: Seven distinguished individuals from the Jammu region have been invited as special guests to witness the Republic Day parade 2025 at Kartavya Path, New Delhi on January 26.

They are among the 10,000 special guests invited from across the country, recognized for their exceptional contributions in various fields, including government schemes, social welfare and personal achievements.

The guests from Jammu region have been selected for their outstanding performance in their respective categories.

The list of special guests includes “Best performing water warrior” Nisha Sharma from Tikri, Mand East in Udhampur district; Dharam Paul from Basohli in Kathua district under textile (handicrafts) category; Neelam Parihar from Kishtwar district under WCD (handicrafts); Yukti Kumari from Ramnagar in Udhampur; Surista Kumari Makhyal from Marh in Jammu district; Suninderjeet Kour (Nodal officer) from Talab Tillo, Jammu and winner of “Veer Gatha 4.0” Mehak from Presentation Convent High School Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. These individuals, according to PRO Defence Lt Col Suneel Bartwal, “have been selected for their remarkable achievements, particularly in fields such as water conservation, handicrafts, women’s empowerment and education.”

“The special guests invited from across India represent diverse sectors, highlighting the impact of government schemes and the dedication of individuals in contributing to national progress,” he stated.

“The Republic Day parade provides a unique platform to honour these exceptional individuals for their service to the community and the country. The guests from Jammu region join a distinguished list of achievers who will be attending the event to witness the Republic Day celebrations,” Lt Col Bartwal said.
