7-member Ladakh leadership team to meet MHA officials in Delhi

Kargil, Sep 25: A seven-member team of leaders of Ladakh including three each from Leh Apex Body (LAB) and Kargil Democratic Alliance (KDA) and the Member of Parliament (MP) Ladakh would visit New Delhi on September 27 or 28 where a preparatory meeting is scheduled with the MHA officials ahead of the scheduled High powered committee meet on October 6 which will be chaired by MoS Home Nityanand Rai.

Sources said a meeting was held on Thursday between the members of the ABL and the representatives of the Home Ministry at Leh.

The meeting decided that a preparatory meeting with the Home Ministry would take place in New Delhi on September 27 or 28, subject to confirmation of the date by the Home Ministry. The meeting would be attended by three representatives each from the ABL and KDA along with MP Ladakh.

This preparatory meeting would be followed by an immediate official meeting of the Home Ministry with the High Powered Committee comprising the seven members each from ABL and the KDA on the four-point agenda.
