6 injured in Rajouri road accident

Rajouri, Mar 13: Six persons were injured in a road accident at Siot on Jammu- Rajouri- Poonch national highway this evening.

The mishap occurred when two cars collided with each other.

Police said that a car PB10GU 9998 coming from Nowshera towards Sunderbani hit another car JK11G 7537 that was parked on highway side in Siot area between Nowshera and Sunderbani sub division headquarters.

The injured include Sumit Arora (33) son of Surinder Arora resident of Ludhiana, his mother Manju Arora (51), Shahida Praveen (23) wife of Akbar Shah resident of Kalakote Rajouri. They were shifted to Sub District Hospital Sunderbani, police said, from where the injured women Manju Arora and Shahida Parveen were referred to GMC Jammu as their condition is stated to be critical.

Police said that investigation into the matter and necessary legal proceedings have been taken up under Dharamsal police station.
